數據可視化的盛宴！凱度信息之美2018年獲獎作品揭曉

凱度信息之美大獎是一個由 David McCandless 于2012年所創立的獎項，用來甄選當年最優秀的數據可視化、信息圖、交互和藝術領域最卓越且最富美感的設計作品。

David McCandless本人是信息之美的記者，這一獎項在創立之初，獎項的評選工作主要是由他和當時凱度的創意總監 Aziz Cami 一同主持，現在則是由凱度現任的創意總監 Emma Whitehead 接手。

獎項的評選過程不僅有一個完整的信息設計領域的專家小組來評判，而且還會通過公眾投票，這其中包括超過30萬名社區成員。而這些信息圖的制作者則來自全世界不同的國家，有著各不相同的背景，包括學生、獨立設計師、專業的設計工作室、媒體品牌甚至包括政府組織。

在2018年，整個凱度信息之美的獎項按照主題，對類別進行了重新組織和調整，在評選指標上，基于信息化程度、交互性和數據可視化效果來進行甄選，所有作品按照主題被劃分到不同的主題之下：藝術、突發新聞、區域與政治、人物角色、語言與身份、政治、全球與人道主義、科學技術、休閑、娛樂與運動，這些主題之外的部分則被劃歸到了「非常規」這一類別之下。
